Your up and coming stay

Below is some information to help make your holiday as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. There is a lot of info, but please take the time to have at least a quick read so you don't miss important info like which driveway to turn into!

There is also plenty of info on our website:   https://indigal.com.au/Couples/Tiny-House

Covid-19

Pacific Palms is a small community where we have managed to keep Covid-19 at bay. However, with regional travel bans lifting, we are excepting a lot of holiday makers to visit. Please respect the rules, the locals and other holiday makers. If you have flu-like symptoms, PLEASE do not travel. If this happens to you, we'll happily give you a full refund or you can reschedule.

Before your stay, Rusty's Palace is disinfected then given a thorough clean and surfaces are disinfected again. All linen, bedding, towels, etc are freshly laundered. Rusty's bathroom is supplied with 2 toilet rolls that are left in their wrapping.

What's Supplied

Rusty's Palace is well supplied with all the basics to make your stay easy and comfortable.

All linen is supplied. There's an extra blanket for the bed - if required. Bath towels are supplied plus body and hand wash and a couple of rolls of toilet paper. The kitchen is set up with all crockery, cutlery, wine & champagne glasses, pots & pans, cooking utensils, some cooking oil, salt & pepper, tea/coffee/sugar, a couple of tea-towels and paper towels, foil and cling wrap.

Groceries and Gear

A reminder that Rusty's Palace is a TINY house. Keep this in mind as you pack your bags and buy groceries. There are some drawers and shelving in the bedroom (space under the bed for your bags) and an under-bench fridge in the kitchen. There's plenty of room for relaxing and unwinding!

There is a list of local stores for groceries at the bottom of this email.

Coffee Lovers

For those who love their morning coffee, there's a coffee plunger and our coffee machine takes ground coffee NOT pods, so BYO your favourite ground beans and enjoy it relaxing inside, on the deck or wander out to the orchard and enjoy it sitting under the lemon tree!

Check-in

Check-in is from 2pm.

I'll be giving you a call on the morning of your check-in just to touch based, then if you could give me a call/text as you pass either Bulahdelah (if coming from the south) or Forster (if coming from the north), then I'll know you're 20-30mins away and will meet you on arrival.

Directions

Most reliable directions: use Google Maps! Go to https://goo.gl/maps/hUXNAK1K1DJ2 (or add Indigal as your destination) – BUT READ ON…

Google Maps will direct you to OUR NEIGHBOURS driveway!!! For the correct driveway turn into the driveway at the FLAG POLE with the Aussie flag and the LETTERBOX with ‘INDIGAL’ on the top. Photo of which driveway to choose.

Once through the front gate, drive to the top of the hill - about 800m.*

At the round-about at the top of the hill, turn left and swing into the carpark on the left side of the Tiny House. Photo of Rusty's Entrance.

A detailed description of how to get to Rusty's can be found here.

*Indigal's Driveway

Once you turn into our driveway, you'll be driving on a dirt road. The first part of the driveway is shared with our neighbours, who are about 200m up the road. Please look after them by passing slowly to reduce dust and be on the look-out for their cars, dogs.

The second half of the driveway is uphill. Sports cars to motor-homes have used the driveway with ease.

All vehicles to use LOW RANGE (1st or 2nd gear for automatics or manuals) from the bottom of the hill - then sit on about 20km/hr and you will cruise up the hill with ease. Leaving your car in high gear and 'gunning it' will cause you to lose traction and spin your wheels - and damage the road:(

Drop into a lower gear going down the hill as well.

Local Info

Our wonderful local tourist site has plenty of info about the Pacific Palms area including activities, shopping and pampering yourself! https://pacificpalmstourist.com.au/

A map of the local area and a list of walking tracks will be left in the house for you and an online copy can be viewed here.

Laundry

A full laundry, front load washing machine, dryer and tub is located beside the Tiny House - come out the back door, turn left and you will see a quaint green shed - the laundry's in there.

There's a full collapsible cloths-line near where you park your car and there's a drying rack folded up in the laundry.

At the end of your stay

Check-out is by 11am. Our cleaners will arrive and start work at 11:05am

Before you leave, we do ask you to do a few things. Please wash up and put dishes away. Clean BBQ. Place all you rubbish and recycling in the outside bins.

LINEN: Please assist our COVID-19 protocol by:

  • Stripping your bed and placing all sheets, pillowcases and the top mattress protector (bottom waterproof mattress protector can stay on the bed) in the GREEN linen bag.
  • Place blankets and bedspread in YELLOW linen bag.
  • Place all used towels and tea-towels in BLUE linen bag.
  • Linen bags can be found in a bucket under the kitchen sink - right side.

Close all doors, but no need to lock them (birds and chooks seem to love open doors and empty rooms!).

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email or call me on 0414 728 158.
