We know that booking a hosted property in a coastal/rural setting can raise a few specific questions, such as: How private and secure is the accommodation? How close are local shops and dining options? And is the Wi-Fi reliable?

This page is designed to give you clear, honest answers on everything from Wi-Fi speed and security measures to our specific check-in process. We’ve compiled a list of the most common questions asked to help you plan and book with complete confidence. If you don't see your question below, please don't hesitate to reach out.

  • How private is the stay, and are we the only guests booked at Pueblo?

    • Yes. Pueblo hosts one booking at a time. While the owners live discreetly in a separate section of the Hacienda, guests often comment that it "felt like we had the whole place to ourselves."

  • What is the practical level of host interaction, and how is guest privacy maintained in the 'hosted property'?

    • We meet you upon arrival for a brief tour. After that, we are available by phone if you need anything. We remain discreet and may be seen occasionally working in the gardens or on the property beyond the main grounds.
  • Is the pool access exclusive to our booking, or is it shared with the hosts?

    • The pool is for your use during your stay. We have ensured the area is private with screening. The owners do use the pool, but only when they know it’s free – they are very respectful of guest privacy.

  • How secluded and secure is the self-contained accommodation?

    • The apartment is a private, self-contained wing with its own entry in the west end of the Hacienda. All doors are lockable, providing a secure and secluded retreat.
  • Is the guest apartment fully insulated and soundproofed from the host's main house?

    • Yes. A large, separate section of the Hacienda completely divides the guest apartment from the host's residence. No noise travels between the areas, ensuring total acoustic privacy for everyone.
  • Where are the property's security cameras located in relation to the guest apartment and pool area?

    • Security cameras are positioned only around the separate workshop access points. There are no cameras monitoring the guest apartment, main grounds, or pool area.
  • What high-end amenities and provisions are included in the Hacienda stay?

    • We have ensured every detail is considered for an effortless stay. This includes a fully equipped kitchen, a deluxe massage chair, Google Streaming TV, and luxurious furnishings. You will want for nothing – except for maybe a longer stay than you planned.

  • As a hosted property, will we encounter the host's dogs during our private stay?

    • We have two friendly dogs that stay in the host's area. They are trained and respectful of boundaries. If one pops by and you don’t want her company, simply tell her to go home.

  • Will we encounter wildlife  during our stay?

    • Yes, our 24 acres of native bushland is rich in wildlife. You will likely see wallabies and hear the birds and frogs. Occasionally, small critters like frogs or crickets may find their way into the apartment, which is common in a natural setting.

  • Are there designated walking trails on the 24 acres bushland property?

    • Yes, we have two easy walking trails: the Forest Walk and the Rainforest Gully Walk, both accessible directly from your apartment.

  • Does the accommodation feature a fireplace or fire pit, and is complimentary firewood provided?

    • Yes, there is an indoor and outdoor fireplace. We provide a complimentary starter supply of firewood, firelighters, and matches. Extra bags of wood are available for purchase if needed.

  • What is the proximity to local supermarkets and recommended dining options?

    • Groceries are available 3 minutes away at Foodworks, or 15 minutes away at Coles and Woolworths in Forster. There are several recommended cafes and dining options locally and a wider variety in Forster.

  • Is WI-Fi available, is it complimentary and is it reliable for remote work?

    • Yes, high-speed and reliable Wi-Fi is available for guests, free of charge.
  • What is mobile reception like at the property and local areas?

    • Due to our elevation, mobile reception is good for most providers at the property. Reception in surrounding local areas can be intermittent, especially during busy holiday periods.
  • How is the internal climate controlled to ensure year-round comfort in the Hacienda?

    • We ensure year-round comfort with two reverse cycle air conditioning units (lounge and bedroom) and a ceiling fan. The Hacienda's design naturally keeps the apartment cool in summer and warm in winter.

  • Is a 4WD vehicle required for property access?

    • No. The 800m private access road is well-maintained and suitable for all standard vehicle types.
  • Are there charging facilities available for electric vehicles (EVs) on the property?

    • No, we do not have dedicated EV charging facilities, and charging via domestic power points is not permitted. Commercial charging stations are located 15 minutes away in Forster.
  • Is Pueblo ‘Pet-friendly’ retreat?

    • No. We do not host guest pets.
  • Can Pueblo at Indigal be used for small gatherings, such as micro-weddings or events?

    • No. Pueblo is reserved exclusively for single guests or couples. It is not available for any events, parties, or functions.
  • How flexible are the arrangements for check-in and check-out times?

  • Check-in and check-out times are set upon booking. We will always let you know if the property is ready earlier on your arrival day.
  • What is the policy regarding cancellations or postponements?

  • What payment methods are accepted, and are there any additional booking or cleaning fees?

    • All bookings are processed through our secure Instant Booking system, with payment accepted via credit card.
    • A cleaning fee is the only add-on, everything else is included.
